Principles, Capabilities, and Applications of Generative AI
Abstract
Generative artificial intelligence (AI) is a popular buzzword in recent times. It encompasses algorithms that create content such as text, images, and music based on underlying data patterns. Its key principles include neural network architectures, like generative adversarial networks and transformers, which enable machines to learn and reproduce human-like contents. Its capabilities span across language modeling, image synthesis, and audio generation, offering tools for innovation in various industries. Applications range from automating content creation in media and entertainment to enhancing drug discovery in healthcare. Despite its transformative potential, generative AI also presents ethical challenges, necessitating responsible use and regulation to ensure the alignment of AI-generated outputs with societal values.
