Abstract

By leveraging on the literature reviews, interviews and survey data collected throughout the last 8 years, this research proposes a new approach to measure organizational maturity using the Duplex PM Maturity Model (DPM3) with the objective of enhancing organizational performance. The DPM3 model and its components is best illustrated by using the analogy of a motorcycle with 2 wheels, with both wheels rotate to accomplish work and grow as the skill-components grow and mature with a need to always paddle and steer to keep in balance and adapt to the dynamic project environment. The front wheel represents the project manager while the back wheel represents the organization. Each wheel is supported by 10 equal spoke lengths, and each spoke represents a maturity component.
