Abstract
Over the past few decades, solid polymer electrolytes have been widely used in battery and supercapacitor applications, due to the improved features of polymer nanocomposite materials. This chapter comprehensively discusses various electrolytes and their synthesis methods, particularly emphasising on polymer nano composite-based electrolytes. In addition, a thorough description of the ion transfer process in several polymer nanocomposite-based systems has been provided. Finally, a discussion on different constraints in electrolytes based on polymer nanocomposites and their probable solution has also been addressed.
