Abstract

From the earliest stages of education, one of the main objectives of teachers is that their students learn new knowledge. However, in this learning process, the aim is for pupils not to be mere recipients of knowledge from different disciplines, but to be active agents in their learning. This is the reason why, at present, Early Childhood Education teachers have at their disposal a wide range of pedagogical methods and approaches that enable multidisciplinary work with children between 2 and 6 years of age in an active way, the age range for the Early Childhood Education stage in the Spanish Education System. Among these pedagogical methods and approaches, the use of Project Based Learning (PBL), Collaborative Methodology (CM) and Service Learning (SL) are particularly important, all of them widely used in classrooms at this educational stage with successful educational experiences and supported by numerous scientific evidence that show the benefits of their use with Early Childhood Education students.
