Abstract
Gamification integrates game elements into non-game environments to enhance student experiences and improve learning outcomes. It engages students in an interactive, motivating way, leading to improved retention and performance. In educational settings, tools like escape rooms promote collaboration and active engagement. Gamification positively impacts cognitive, affective, and behavioural domains, optimizing learning outcomes. The authors used the GAMEX scale to measure the enjoyment, motivation, and challenge of the gamified experience. With proper implementation, gamification can transform learning, and tools like GAMEX can further enhance its effectiveness for educators.
