This review examines green Human Resource (HR) practices in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), focusing on awareness and training initiatives. Synthesizing 28 articles from 2014 to 2024, it highlights leadership's role, employee engagement, and training effectiveness. Challenges in implementation and the necessity for comprehensive sustainability integration are discussed. The review underscores the importance of aligning organizational values, fostering a culture of environmental responsibility, and leveraging technology for measurement. It advocates for investing in sustainable HR to cultivate an environmentally conscious workforce and advance sustainability objectives within HEI.
