Globalization, Digitalization, and Sustainable Development Goals: A Roadmap for Equitable Progress
Abstract
This chapter explores how globalization and digitalization can contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It uses data from trade statistics, technology access reports, and regional policy implementation to analyze key indicators. Key indicators include trade and technology access, student participation, and economic development. The research also highlights the importance of digital inclusion, bridging the digital divide, and addressing cybersecurity risks. Key recommendations include digital skills development, digital inclusion, transparency, and responsible data management. The chapter concludes that globalization and digitalization offer opportunities for sustainable development, but also presents challenges such as resource distribution, unemployment, and the digital divide.
