Global Education and Cultural Exchange: Building Global Citizenship and Addressing Global Challenges
Abstract
This chapter explores global education as a holistic approach designed to foster global citizenship and intercultural competence. It emphasizes the development of essential knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed to understand and engage with diverse perspectives. The importance of global education in promoting tolerance, empathy, and respect for cultural diversity is highlighted, alongside its critical role in addressing global challenges such as climate change, poverty, and inequality. Additionally, the chapter discusses how global education equips individuals with a globalized workforce, thereby enhancing their employability.
