Design-Based Research as Transformative Methodology in Field of Sanskrit Literature Education
Abstract
This chapter explores design-based research (DBR) as a transformative methodology tailored to the field of Sanskrit literature education. By integrating iterative design, collaborative processes, and real-world contexts, DBR offers a pragmatic framework to address the challenges of modernizing and contextualizing traditional knowledge systems. The study emphasizes, the way DBR facilitates the development of culturally responsive pedagogies that preserve the richness of Sanskrit literature while aligning with contemporary educational demands. Key components of the methodology include bridging theory and practice, leveraging digital tools for curriculum design, and fostering interdisciplinary approaches that integrate Sanskrit studies with technology, humanities, and social sciences. Through case studies and practical applications, the chapter suggest about student engagement, promote deeper understanding, and develop scalable and sustainable educational models.
