Abstract
The COVID-19 pandemic has dealt significant blows to economies worldwide, affecting people from all walks of life, including those residing in cosmopolitan cities. Bangalore, a city known for its diverse population comprising individuals from various ethnic backgrounds, languages, cultures, and customs, exemplifies cosmopolitan living. This study aims to examine the repercussions of the COVID-19 pandemic on the common people, or 'commoners', in Bangalore. The research explores the pandemic's impact on the well-being of individuals living in a cosmopolitan city, with a focus on factors such as earnings, investments, and standard of living. The authors also delve into how these economic aspects may influence mental peace and social health.
