Abstract

Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) is becoming one of the revolutionary technologies in contemporary healthcare with its significance, to nursing practice and clinical decision making growing more evident as hospitals globally move towards intelligent, automated and data centered care systems. With clinical data expanding at a rate and nurses still encountering heavy documentation demands workforce deficits and increasing patient complexity incorporating GenAI tools has become crucial, for enhancing workflow productivity and elevating patient care quality. This section aims to examine the uses of GenAI, in nursing emphasizing especially its ability to aid clinical decision-making improve risk assessment, automate patient documentation enhance ICU surveillance and produce precise prompt information that assists nurses in making quicker and safer choices at the bedside.
