AI Innovations in Sustainable Food Production and Agriculture
Abstract
The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in sustainable food production and agriculture has emerged as a transformative approach to addressing global challenges such as food security, climate change, and resource efficiency. This chapter explores the innovative applications of AI in enhancing agricultural productivity, optimizing resource utilization, and reducing environmental impact. Key AI technologies, including machine learning, computer vision, and predictive analytics, are analyzed for their role in precision farming, crop monitoring, pest management, and supply chain optimization. The chapter delves into how AI-driven solutions enable real-time decision-making, automate labor-intensive processes, and foster sustainable practices by minimizing waste and conserving water and energy. Case studies highlighting the successful implementation of AI in agriculture are presented, showcasing its potential to revolutionize traditional farming methods.
