Reviews and Testimonials

Australian scholars of education explore how continuing technological development is impacting various forms of non-traditional learning. Covering instructional design, interactions and communications in learning communities, and learner characteristics, they consider such aspects as the importance of contextualizing pedagogical instruction within the discipline, using an online simulation to address equity issues for off-campus students, how Australian and New Zealand higher educators are using three-dimensional immersive virtual worlds in their teaching, study relations of distance learners with other people in their life contexts, and challenges and opportunities of online postgraduate coursework programs in a traditional university context.
