Description

The accelerating development of computer technology and communications can replace many of the functions of human intellectual activity, as well as help them in making decisions in various situations of their lives. To implement intelligent functions for various purposes, numerous models, paradigms, architectures, and hardware and software are being developed. Because the world is constantly evolving, there is a need to constantly study various dynamic processes to determine possible negative situations that can lead to undesirable catastrophic phenomena and changes. Recently, more attention has been paid to the study of natural processes in nature. Scientific works are appearing that describe the behavior and development of living organisms and the processes of their interaction. Cellular automata are increasingly used to describe and model them.

New Methods and Paradigms for Modeling Dynamic Processes Based on Cellular Automata is a collection of innovative research that describes the models and paradigms of building cellular automata that allows for the simulation of the dynamics of the interaction of living organisms from a different scientific point of view. For this, asynchronous cellular automata with a dynamically changing number of “living” cells are used. The chapters describe the theoretical concepts of constructing asynchronous cellular automata with active cells. Much attention is paid to the use of the proposed theoretical principles for solving modeling problems and solving specific applied problems of forming pseudorandom sequences and image processing based on modeling of the human visual channel. Featuring research on topics such as colony interaction, image processing and recognition, and influence mode, this book is ideally designed for engineers, programmers, software developers, researchers, academicians, and students.



Author's/Editor's Biography

Stepan Bilan

Stepan Bilan was born on September 15, 1962 in the Kazatin city, Vinnitsia region, Ukraine. He studied at the Vinnitsa Polytechnic Institute from 1979 to 1984. In 1984 he graduated from Vinnitsa Polytechnic with honors and an engineering diploma specializing in Electronic computing machines. From 1986 to 1989 he studied at the graduate school of the Vinnitsa Polytechnic Institute focusing on Computers, complexes and networks. In 1990 he defended his thesis by specialties: 05.13.13 - computer systems, complexes and networks; 05.13.05 - Elements and devices of computer facilities and control systems. He worked at Vinnytsia State Technical University (now the Vinnytsia National Technical University) from 1991 to 2003. In 1998 he was awarded the academic title of assistant professor of "Computer Science" at Vinnytsia National Technical University. From 2003 to the present time, he works at the State University of Infrastructure and Technology (Kiev, Ukraine).



Mykola Bilan

Mykola Mykolayovych Bilan was born on June 27, 1961 in Kazatin, Vinnytsia region, Ukraine. In 1983 he graduated with honors from the Vinnitsa Polytechnic Institute and has a specialty Automation and Remote Control. Until 1994, he worked as a production master in the final assembly shop at the Tashkent Aviation Production Association. V.P. Chkalov. In 1989 he was the best master of the Association. From 1994 to 2015, he worked at the Radio and Television Center (Moldova Republic of) as an engineer and the head of the dispatch service. Currently, he work as an informatics and physics teacher in a secondary school in the village of Mayak, Moldova Republic of. He has many inventions, publications and patents in the field of cryptography, steganography and computer technology.



Ruslan Motornyuk

Ruslan Leonidovich Motornyuk was born on June 20, 1976 in the village of Ivankovtsy, Kazatinsky District, Vinnitsa Region, Ukrainian SSR. In 2001 he graduated from the magistracy of Vinnitsa State Technical University and received a master's degree in computer systems and networks. In 2013 he defended his thesis for the degree of candidate of technical sciences in the specialty “Computer systems and components”. Currently he works as a leading engineer in the Production Unit “Kiev Department” branch of the Main Information and Computing Center of the JSC “Ukrzaliznytsya.”
