Author's/Editor's Biography

Célia Ramos (Ed.)

Celia Ramos graduated in Computer Engineering from the University of Coimbra, obtained her master’s in electrical and computer engineering from the Higher Technical Institute, Lisbon University, and a PhD in econometrics from the University of the Algarve (UALG), Faculty of Economics, Portugal. She is an Adjunct Professor at School for Management, Hospitality and Tourism, also in the UALG, where she lectures computer science. Areas of research and special interest include conception and development of information systems, tourism information systems, big data, etourism, econometric modeling, and panel-data models. Célia Ramos has published in the fields of information systems and tourism, namely, she has authored a book, ten book chapters, conference papers, and journal articles. At the level of applied research, she has participated in several funded projects.



Paula Fernandes (Ed.)

Paula Fernandes PhD in Economics and Management, Professor of Management at the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança (IPB) - Portugal. She is a researcher and Scientific Coordinator of UNIAG (Applied Management Research Unit, since 2013) and was a researcher at the Research Unit in Business Sciences (NECE-UBI, 2010-2017). She participated in 14 international and national projects I&D (6 as Responsible Researcher), supervised one PhD thesis and several master students (over 80 master theses). She published more than 200 publications in peer-reviewed journals, book chapters and proceedings, and has several communications at international scientific conferences and won 7 scientific awards. She serves as a member of Program Board and Organizing Committees for some Scientific Committees of International Conferences and has collaborated as a reviewer with several journals. Her current research interest is in Tourism Research, Importance-Performance Analysis, Management, Artificial Neural Network, Entrepreneurship, Econometric Modelling, Marketing and Strategic Management, Market Research, Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainable, Higher Education Quality and Applied Research Methods.
