is a Full Professor in the School of Technology at the Polytechnic Institute of Cavado and Ave, Portugal. She holds a Dipl. Eng. (5 years) in the field of Systems and Informatics Engineering, an M.Sci. in the field of Computer Integrated Manufacturing, a Dr.Sci in of Production Systems Engineering and Habilitation in Informatics Engineering. She teaches subjects related with Information Systems, Information Technologies and Organizational Models to undergraduate and post-graduate studies. She has authored and edited 28 books and her work appears in 200 papers published in journals, book chapters and conference proceedings. She is founder and conference chair of the “CENTERIS – Conference on ENTERprise Information Systems”, “ViNOrg – Conference on Virtual and Networked Organizations Emergent Technologies and Tools” and “SeGAH – Serious Games and Applications for Health”. Summa Cum Laude in Computer Sciences from the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro (UTAD) in the field and subject of information security and secure operating systems. He is an Expert Accredited by the European Commission on R&I projects in the Horizon 2020, COSME, and CEF programs in information technologies. He is a TED, IEEE, Websummit, and CNN Portugal Keynote Speaker, CEO & Founder of NRMC.PT.
