Reviews and Testimonials

"The recent crisis in Ukraine buttresses the importance of having a good forensic readiness policy in place; a conflict can result in loss of access to ESI [Electronically Stored Information] or loss of the ESI completely. An organization with operations in a crisis zone might have issues if ESI becomes inaccessible or lost during such a crisis, and then litigation comes up.

The resulting sanctions against Russia also create a problem for organizations with offshore businesses within or associated with Russia or a similarly sanctioned country, especially when there is a case for foreign discovery. A forensic readiness plan can ensure that getting evidence from such a location or to prove the organization is not violating the sanctions is possible with ease.

The above scenarios are applicable to eDiscovery cases as can be seen in Chapter 13 - Forensic Readiness for Enhanced eDiscovery of the Handbook of Research on Cyber Crime and Information Privacy."
