Description

Cutting-edge analysis of aqueous suspension filtration represents a critical area of research and innovation in industries ranging from environmental engineering to pharmaceuticals and food production. Filtration processes play a vital role in purifying water, recovering valuable materials, and ensuring the quality of various products. Advanced techniques in filtration analysis now leverage sophisticated modeling, real-time monitoring, and materials science to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of aqueous suspension filtration systems. Innovations such as the use of nanomaterials for membrane filtration, optimization of filter media properties, and the integration of artificial intelligence to predict clogging and filtration performance have transformed the field. These breakthroughs improve throughput and reduce operational costs while contributing to sustainability by enabling more efficient use of resources and minimizing waste. As the demand for cleaner, safer, and more sustainable filtration solutions grows, the continuous development of advanced analytical techniques will be key to overcoming challenges such as fouling, energy consumption, and scalability in aqueous suspension filtration systems.

Cutting-Edge Analysis of Aqueous Suspension Filtration explores opportunities in improving the design of filtration facilities, selection and realization of rate modes, and algorithms of their operation. It examines practical applications of applied research results in the field of water treatment. This book covers topics such as constant filtration, porous media, and water treatment, and is a useful resource for engineers, water treatment businesses, business owners, academicians, researchers, and scientists.

Author's/Editor's Biography

Vadym Poliakov (Ed.)
Prof. Vadym Leontiiovych Poliakov graduated from Moscow (diploma), Kiev State Universities. For fifty years I have been working as (leading) researcher at the Institute of Hydromechanics (NASU, Kiev); defended dissertations devoted to nonlinear theory of waterlogged lands drainage, for twenty years taught at the National University of Construction, Architecture. I am also the chief researcher (IWPLR, NAASU). The specific areas of research concern studying theoretical issues related to purification of natural and waste waters by physical-chemical and biological methods, regulation of water and nutrient conditions of agricultural lands under climate change. The results are presented in more than three hundred publications, including three monographs and textbook.
