Özgür Örün
Dr.
Özgür Örün
obtained his Ph.D. degree with an interdisciplinary thesis from the Department of Computer Education and Instructional Technology at Anadolu University in 2019. As of 2024, he has started a second graduate program in Neuroscience at the Graduate School of Health Sciences, Ege University, Türkiye. In 2013, he was an Erasmus visiting academic staff for a short term at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, Poland. In 2018, as a researcher focusing on the physiological measurement of learning processes with Electroencephalogram (EEG), he attended the EEGLAB at the Swartz Center for Computational Neuroscience, University of California, San Diego, USA. Since 2021, Dr. Özgür ÖRÜN has been working at the Izmir Institute of Technology, contributing as a researcher and consultant to various projects supported by different institutions, including the Development Agency and the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye. His interdisciplinary research interests include educational neuroscience, cognitive science, (multimedia) learning, working memory, multitasking, instructional design and technology. He publishes and continues his academic production within this scope.
