Özcan Simsek
Özcan Şimşek
serves as a faculty member at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University, Yenice Vocational School, Department of Forestry. He earned his undergraduate degree from Ankara University, Faculty of Science, Department of Biology, and his doctorate from Ankara University, Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences, Department of Biology. His research specializes in liverworts within forest ecosystems, with a particular focus on examining their ecological and biological characteristics through laboratory investigations. His work in biodiversity-rich regions, including the Kaz Mountains, makes substantial contributions to the scientific understanding of the area's natural heritage.
