Tony Bailetti

Tony Bailetti is the Director of Carleton’s Technology Innovation Management program (, Chair of the Lead to Win Council and Executive Director (Acting) of the VENUS Task Group. He holds a joint appointment in the Eric Sprott School of Business and the Department of Systems and Computer Engineering at Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada. Tony was presented with the 2011 Ottawa Innovation Community award from the Ottawa Centre for Research and Innovation (OCRI). Tony’s research, teaching, and community contributions support the ecosystem approach to innovation for the purpose of creating technology jobs, launching and growing technology companies, and attracting investment. Tony has published in Research Policy, IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, Journal of Product Innovation Management, and R&D Management. He has supervised over 60 graduate level theses and projects. Tony Bailetti was born and raised in Peru. He received his M.B.A. and Ph.D. degrees in 1973 and 1976 respectively, from the University of Cincinnati. Tony joined Carleton University in 1979. Today he is a proud 34-years Carleton veteran and Ottawa resident. Tony has four children and six grand children. They are the treasures of his life.
