Árpád Ferenc Papp-Váry

Árpád Papp-Váry has a PhD and is a senior research associate at the Economic Geography and Urban Marketing Centre of John von Neumann University, Kecskemét, Hungary. In addition to that, he is the Head of the Marketing and Tourism Programme at the Doctoral School of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Sopron, Hungary, and he leads the Marketing MSc programme at the biggest Hungarian business university, Budapest Business School. Árpád is the author of several well-known marketing and branding books, the most recent of which is “Country Branding – Creating a Competitive Identity and Image”. A large part of his publications is also available on his website in pdf format: Besides university education, he regularly holds training sessions and provides branding consultancy, and his company, Márkadoktor Kft., is an accredited consultant of the Hungarian Multi Program. He is a jury member of more than ten marketing, advertising and PR competitions. He has been Vice President of the Hungarian Marketing Association (MMSZ) for three terms.
