Zainab Shafaat

Zainab Shafaat is a dedicated faculty member in the Department of Fashion Design Technology at PTUT, bringing over a decade of experience in fashion education. She holds a Ph.D. in Home Economics with a specialization in Textiles and Clothing, awarded in 2021 from the University of the Punjab, Lahore. Her academic journey also includes an MPhil and MSc in the same field, reflecting her deep-rooted expertise and commitment to the discipline. Dr. Shafaat has extensive experience in research, with several publications related to fashion marketing, sustainable fashion, and consumer behavior. Notably, her Ph.D. thesis, titled Effective Strategies of Social Media Marketing for Apparel Fashion Brands: A Triangulation Approach, explores the integration of social media in fashion marketing strategies. ( ) Her areas of expertise encompass the fashion design process and curriculum development, where she is passionate about nurturing creativity and technical proficiency in her students. Dr. Zainab Shafaat aims to equip them with the skills necessary to thrive in the dynamic world of fashion. In addition to her teaching and research roles, Dr. Zainab serves as the Convener of the Self-Assessment Report (SAR) and Departmental Quality Assurance Committees, contributing to the continuous improvement of academic standards and quality assurance within the department.
