Yuhanis Mhd Bakri
Yuhanis Mhd Bakri
is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science and Mathematics, Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI), Malaysia. She holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Newcastle, Australia, and a B.Sc. (Hons) in Chemistry from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. While her academic foundation lies in chemistry, her professional interests extend across the broader STEM education landscape, with a particular commitment to advancing teaching and learning practices at all levels of education, including higher education. She is an affiliate member of the Young Scientists Network – Academy of Sciences Malaysia and currently serves as the BITARA School Coordinator at UPSI, contributing to the university’s mission of educational excellence and community engagement. In 2024, she earned a Professional Diploma in Competency Based Talent Management from UMPSA Malaysia. In this capacity, she plays a key role in overseeing academic talent development initiatives at UPSI, including strategic training programs, talent recognition efforts, and academic upskilling activities. She currently holds the position of Deputy Director of e-Learning and Academic Transformation at the Centre for Academic Development, following her earlier appointment as Coordinator of the Academic Excellence Unit. Under her stewardship, UPSI received two Anugerah Khas YB Menteri Pendidikan Tinggi (AKRI) for Innovative Curriculum Design and Delivery, the GESS Education Award, and attained three finalist positions in the QS Reimagine Education Awards in 2024. Most recently, she has spearheaded the revitalization of UPSI’s Micro-Credentials Programme.
