Youmei Liu
Youmei Liu
received her Doctor of Education in Curriculum and Instruction focusing on instructional technology in 2003 from the College of Education at the University of Houston (UH). She has been serving as a Director of Assessment and Accreditation Services since 2011. Before assuming this position, she worked as an educational production specialist and an instructional designer. She is also an adjunct faculty at the Jack J. Valenti School of Communications at UH, and has been teaching Information and Communication Technology course for over 20 years. Dr. Liu functioned as a conference chair for the Society of International Chinese Educational Technology (SICET) and the Chinese American Educational Research and Development Association (CAERDA) in the US. She has rich research experience and has numerous publications in the areas of quality course design, innovative use of educational technology, distance education and mobile learning, cross-cultural communication, and social capital development in e-learning and social media platforms.
