Yelda Özkoçak

Yelda Özkoçak started her education at Anatolian Communication High School and completed the associate degree program in R-TV Broadcasting. She received her bachelor's degree from Istanbul University Radio, Television and Cinema program in 2007, then her master's degree in 2009 and her doctorate in the same field from Istanbul University Institute of Social Sciences in 2013. She played important roles in the cinema and television industry between 2001-2009 and gained extensive experience during this time. Özkoçak started her academic career in 2009 and received the title of Associate Professor in 2018 and Professor in 2023. She has actively participated in numerous national and international conferences, symposiums and seminars and has shared her expertise with four books and numerous academic publications. Her research interests include a wide range of topics such as television programs, gender studies, Turkish cinema and audiovisual editing, and she makes significant contributions to these fields with her in-depth research and academic studies. Özkoçak, who worked at different universities, held positions such as center director, assistant dean, department head. Özkoçak served as the Rector's Advisor at Doğuş University between December 2018 and July 2024. He has been serving as the Vice Rector at the same University since July 2024.
