Waqas Hameed
Mr.
Waqas Hameed
is an applied epidemiologist and biostatistician with over 20 years of experience in designing, implementing, managing, and analyzing observational and experimental research, particularly in maternal, reproductive, and mental health within the context of health services and systems. He has extensive expertise in monitoring and evaluation frameworks, as well as in establishing management information systems for large-scale health service programmes. Trained at the University of Karachi, LSHTM and KCL with advanced courses from Johns Hopkins, NUS, and LUMS, he holds an M.Phil. and is currently pursuing a PhD from the University of Karachi. His career spans collaborative work with academics, consultants, program directors, and donors, integrating roles as a researcher, monitoring specialist, and manager overseeing program implementation, surveys, budgeting, and MIS development. His contributions are reflected in scientific publications, reports, and presentations at national and international forums, alongside his engagement in teaching and capacity building.
