Walaa H. Elashmawi
Walaa H. Elashmawi
is a Professor at the Faculty of Computer Science, Misr International University, on leave from Suez Canal University, Egypt. She has over 20 years of expertise in computer science, specializing in Artificial Intelligence, Data science and Machine Learning, Meta-heuristic Algorithms, and the Internet of Things (IoT). With a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Hunan University, China (2013), her groundbreaking research on coalition formation in multi-agent systems has established her as a leading figure in her field. Throughout her career, Dr. Elashmawi has combined academic excellence with technical innovation, applying advanced optimization techniques, predictive analytics, and swarm intelligence to solve complex problems across various domains. Her research contributions are reflected in her prolific output, with over 50 peer-reviewed journal articles and conference papers WoS and Scopus. She is also the Head of the Control Unit at the Faculty of Computer Sciences, Misr International University, where she spearheads innovative academic and administrative initiatives.
