Vanessa Izquierdo-Álvarez

Vanessa Izquierdo-Álvarez holds a PhD in Educational Sciences, a degree in Pedagogy, and a Master’s Degree in Advanced Studies in Learning Difficulties from the University of Salamanca. She is currently a professor in the Department of Didactics, Organisation and Research Methods at the University of Salamanca, where her teaching focuses on educational research methods and educational technology. She is a research member of the GRIAL research group and of the Research Institute for Educational Sciences (IUCE) of the University of Salamanca. Her research focuses on educational technology and educational equity. She has professional experience as a digital learning specialist and as a training and project manager in the education sector, having participated in and led content virtualisation initiatives and open knowledge projects (MOOCs). She is currently Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Information and Communication Technology Education (IJICTE) and serves as an editor and reviewer for several national and international academic journals, as well as a member of program committees for conferences in the fields of educational research and educational technology.
