Ujwal Prabhakar Nandekar

Dr. Ujwal Prabhakar Nandekar is an Assistant Professor at Symbiosis Law School, Pune, and a researcher at the Intellectual Property Cell, Symbiosis International (Deemed University). He holds a Ph.D. in Law with a specialization in Intellectual Property Laws and has over nine years of teaching experience spanning undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs. His areas of academic interest include copyright, patent, trademark, and information technology law. Dr. Nandekar has recently co-authored a notable paper: “Impact of the Biological Diversity (Amendment) Act 2023 on Biodiversity Protection Regime in India: An Empirical Study” (2025, Journal of Intellectual Property Rights). He is actively involved in the 21st Teach Skills Project funded by the European Union, contributing to international study visits and collaborative training initiatives in legal education and technology skills development. In addition to authoring a book and several scholarly publications, Dr. Nandekar serves on the editorial board of the International Journal for Business Law Studies and has reviewed for multiple peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of Intellectual Property Rights (Scopus), Asian Journal of Agricultural Extension, Economics & Sociology, Journal of Pharmaceutical Research International (WoS), and Asian Journal of Research and Reports in Endocrinology.
