Tin Maung Htwe
is a Research Fellow at Chiang Mai University, Thailand. His research critically examines China’s strategic expansion in Southeast Asia through the lenses of geoeconomics, environmental political economy, and security studies. His work focuses on the Belt and Road Initiative, dual-use maritime infrastructure, military-civil fusion, and the geopolitical implications of China’s investments on regional sovereignty. He holds a Master of Social Science in Development Studies from the City University of Hong Kong.
