Thomas R. Tretter
Thomas (Tom) Tretter
is a professor of science education and the director of the Center for Research in Mathematics and Science Teacher Development (CRIMSTED) at the University of Louisville. After completing Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering, he taught high school mathematics and science for 10 years prior to joining the University of Louisville College of Education and Human Development faculty in 2004. His research focuses on domains of science curriculum, instruction, and assessment, with a particular focus on preservice and inservice teachers, the learning of their students, and the systems in which they function.
