Tereza Raquel Merlo

Tereza Raquel Merlo is a Professor in the Department of Information Science at the University of North Texas and a practitioner with a leading Fortune Global 500 company. She holds two master’s degrees in Information Sciences and a Ph.D. in Business and Information Technologies. With over 20 years of experience in Information Technology and Management, she specializes in business intelligence, data analytics, project management, process optimization, and data governance. Her research emphasizes the integration of technology with management practices, particularly in knowledge management, artificial intelligence, and data analytics. As co-chair and chair of the International Conference of Knowledge Management (ICKM), she has advanced global discussions on knowledge systems and their applications. She has also delivered keynote addresses at international conferences, sharing insights on technology-driven business strategies and knowledge management. Dr. Merlo’s background includes over a decade in public sector libraries and archives, leading initiatives in social and digital inclusion. As founder of Merlo Management Consulting, she helps organizations achieve strategic goals through business transformation, data-driven strategies, and knowledge system optimization.
