Syeda Fizza Abbas

Syeda Fizza Abbas is a distinguished academician with an illustrious career spanning over 18 years in higher education, specializing in accounting and finance. Currently serving as the Head of Department (Accounting and Finance) at Kinnaird College for Women, Lahore, Pakistan, Syeda Fizza Abbas has been a pivotal member of the institution since 2006. Apart from teaching, Syeda Fizza Abbas contributes significantly to academic leadership through research supervision and curriculum development, shaping the educational landscape in their field. With a robust academic background, Syeda Fizza Abbas holds an MPhil in Commerce from the University of Central Punjab, Lahore, where she achieved a remarkable CGPA of 3.85/4.00, alongside earning a Gold Medal in MSc Banking & Finance from Government College University, Lahore. Syeda Fizza Abbas is renowned for her research prowess, with 18 publications in esteemed journals and presentations at 22 international conferences. Notably, her research on derivatives in Pakistani banks earned acclaim as a Co-Principal Investigator in a HEC SRGP Project in 2019. Awarded for her scholarly contributions, Syeda Fizza Abbas received the Best Paper Awards at prestigious international conferences, underscoring her expertise in analyzing capital structure dynamics in emerging market economies amidst political instability and exchange rate volatility.
