Sujatavani Gunasagaran
stands as a distinguished Program Director and Senior Lecturer within the esteemed School of Architecture, Building, and Design at Taylor's University. Her academic journey is marked by excellence, having earned a BSc in Architecture from the University of Malaya, an MSc in Building Technology from the University Science of Malaysia, and a Doctorate of Education from the University of Selangor. Dr. Suja is recognized as a Professional Technologist and holds membership in prestigious organizations such as the Malaysia Board of Technologist (MBOT), Malaysian Institute of Architects (PAM) Education, Malaysia Green Building Council (malaysiaGBC), Society of Building Science Educators (SBSE), and is a Green Building Index (GBI) Facilitator. Her commitment to advancing the realms of architectural education has not gone unnoticed, with several awards honouring her innovative approaches to teaching and learning. At the heart of her teaching philosophy and research lies a fervent dedication to sustainability, creativity and cutting-edge technology use such as Building Information Modeling (BIM) and digital simulation. Dr. Suja extends her expertise to guide and mentor students pursuing advanced degrees, overseeing both master's and PhD programs. Beyond her role in academia, she plays a pivotal role in shaping the academic landscape, contributing significantly as a member of the Committee for Curriculum, Design, Assessment, and Delivery. Her administrative responsibilities involve designing novel programs and ensuring the ongoing quality of existing ones. In addition to her teaching and administrative roles, Dr. Suja is a distinguished Editor for two journal publications, further establishing herself as an active and influential figure in the realm of research and publication in built environement. Her multifaceted contributions underscore her commitment to advancing the field of architecture, construction management and education, making her a respected and integral part of the academic community.
