Sucharita Srirangam
, also known as Dr Suchi, works as a Senior Lecturer at the School of Architecture, Building & Design of Taylor's University, Malaysia. Her research focus is primarily on urban design, where a synergy between space and user is understood as sustainability, with specific expertise in the themes of sense of place, urban resilience, sustainable cities, smart cities and urban digital representation. Her contributions consist of recommendations and effective space planning with environmental simulation tools such as space syntax, GIS, digital twins for smart cities and digital modelling; with a succinct exploration on the social aspects of urban resilience, inclusivity, marginalisation, public realm and safety. Dr Suchi is also explorative in research on architectural teaching and practice. For this, her contributions are in the form of designing new pedagogies, innovative social projects and practice-led design studio-based learning, SBL.
