Stephanie van der Walt
Stephanie van der Walt
was promoted to Associate Professor: Nursing Science at the International University of Management (IUM) with effect from 01st March 2022. She worked as Senior Lecturer in the IUM Faculty of Health Sciences since 2016. She obtained a PhD in Curriculum Studies from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa in addition to a Bachelor Honours and a Masters’ degree, cum laude. She also holds a diploma in Nursing Education and Nursing Management from the University of Stellenbosh. For over 25 years her work included among others, the provision of technical assistance to project partners in social and behaviour change communication related to HIV and AIDS, including key affected populations. She developed curriculum, facilitators’ guide, participant handbook, screening tool and health promotion materials for Health Extension worker training in Namibia. She has 15 years experience of teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students at The University of Stellenbosch and The International University of Management.
