, S.S., M.Si, is a prominent scholar in the fields of sociology and Arabic literature, born in Ujungpandang on December 17, 1988. She completed her undergraduate studies in Arabic Literature at Hasanuddin University in 2010, followed by a Master’s degree in Sociology in 2013, and a Ph.D. in Sociology in 2021 from the same institution. Her academic career encompasses over six years of teaching experience at various universities, including a significant tenure at Universitas Hasanuddin, where she has contributed to the development of sociological studies. Dr. Wijdanah has also served as a lecturer at Universitas Cut Nyak Dien Langsa and Universitas Negeri Islam Makassar, demonstrating her commitment to education across diverse academic environments. Dr. Wijdanah's research primarily focuses on the dynamics of polygamous marriages within Islamic boarding schools, exploring their implications for women's roles and status in society. Her notable publications include studies on the motivations for polygamous marriages and their social consequences, which have been presented at international conferences and published in reputable journals. Through her extensive research and teaching endeavors, Dr. Wijdanah has established herself as a knowledgeable and influential figure in the discourse surrounding gender roles and family dynamics in contemporary Muslim societies.
