Sonja van der Westhuizen
Sonja van der Westhuize
n is an academic advisor at the Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL), North-West University (NWU). Her professional commitment involves Student Academic Development and Support, where she has actively coordinated various peer learning support programs, most notably the Academic Peer Mentoring and Peer Assisted Learning Support for Distance Learning Students-programs. She furthermore coordinates the NWU CTL First Year Experience initiative. Her research interests include collaborative teaching as instructional strategy to enhance inclusive teaching and learning and improving digital literacy and academic integrity among higher education students.
