Sonia Selwin

Dr. Sonia Selwin is an accomplished educator, community leader, and advocate for women's empowerment with over 23 years of experience in education and organizational development. Her dual passions for teaching and project development have driven her to make significant contributions to academia, community building, and social impact initiatives. Dr. Selwin has taught business management courses to diverse groups, including CIPD and Edexcel programs in the Kingdom of Bahrain, where she also played a vital role in developing qualifications for the National Qualifications Framework. At the Bahrain Training Institute, Bahrain, she introduced impactful initiatives such as the Annual Research Symposium and facilitated faculty workshops to enhance research skills. Currently pursuing post-doctoral research at Andrews University, USA, Dr. Selwin serves as the Director of Women Ministries at HopeSide Ministries in Maryland, USA, and is the President & Founder of PEACE (People Empowerment Alliance for Creativity & Education), a globally operating nonprofit established to empower marginalized communities, including women, minorities, and individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Her initiatives focus on creating transformative impacts through education, entrepreneurship, and spiritual guidance.
