Sibiya vasantha Packiavathy
Sybiya Vasantha Packiavthy
, graduated from Alagappa University with M.Sc., Ph.D in Biotechnology. Post Ph.D, she worked as a Research Associate in Tamil Nadu Agricultural University for a year and served as an Assistant Professor at Karpagam Academy of Higher Education for 3 years and Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences for 2 years. She has authored 5 book chapters and published 26 research articles in well reputed national and international journals with a cumulative impact factor of 65. She attended 20 national and international conferences. She submitted 4 gene sequences in gene bank. She was awarded with research fellowships including JRF and SRF from UGC for basic scientific research during her doctoral work. She has bagged best presentation awards from various institution. So far, she has guided 25 UG students, and 8 PG students. Currently, she is trying to make pioneering and valuable works in developing novel alternatives to antibiotics to combat antimicrobial resistance among pathogenic bacteria.
