Sharmini Abdullah

Sharmini Abdullah is an accomplished academic at the Faculty of Business and Communication, Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP). She holds a Ph.D. in Translation Studies from Imperial College London, an M.A. in Linguistics and ELT from Universiti Sains Malaysia, and a B.Ed. (Hons.) in TESL from the University of Surrey. Her areas of expertise include TESL, ELT, Education, Translation Studies, and Educational Technology in Language Instruction. Dr. Sharmini has served in various academic leadership roles, including Dean, Director, Head of Department, and Deputy Dean, and is currently a Visiting Professor at several Indonesian universities. She is actively involved in academic publishing, having authored and co-authored numerous Scopus- and Web of Science-indexed journal articles. In addition to her research, she has contributed chapters to and served as editor for several scholarly book publications in the fields of education, language, and organisational studies. She is a member of the editorial boards of several international journals, including the Journal of Communication in Scientific Inquiry (JCSI) and ANAPHORA: Journal of Language, Literary, and Cultural Studies.
