Sharad Pandit Panchgalle
Sharad P. Panchgalle
did his post-graduation in Chemistry from Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University, Nanded in 2001 with second rank in merit order. After qualifying NET-JRF, he worked at National Chemical Laboratory, Pune and received Ph. D. degree from Savitribai Phule Pune University in 2010. In 2010-11, he had worked as post-doctoral researcher with Prof. Alfred Hassner at Bar-Ilan University, Ramat Gan, Israel. Since 2012, he is working as Assistant Professor in Department of Chemistry, KMC College Khopoli (affiliated to University of Mumbai). His areas of interest are organocatalysis, total synthesis, chemical biology and heterocycle synthesis through multi-component reactions. He had published 18 research articles in journals of international repute. He had successfully completed two minor research projects funded by University of Mumbai. He was awarded a Summer Research Fellowship twice in tandem by Indian Academy of Sciences Bengaluru, Indian National Science Academy New Delhi and The National Academy of Sciences India Prayagraj and under that he completed two projects one at IIT Mumbai (2019) and other at IISER Bhopal (2022).
