Shahid Bashir

Shahid Bashir is a neuroscientist whose main research interest is in brain stimulation and the molecular mechanisms behind these brain-stimulating techniques. Born in Lahore, Pakistan, Dr. Shahid Bashir completed his BSc and MSc education at the University of Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan. Dr. Shahid got his Ph.D. degree in Physiology from the University of Fribourg, Switzerland. He is a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard Medical School in the United States. He also remains affiliated with the University of Lausanne, the University of Bern, and the University of Zurich, Switzerland. Dr. Shahid was also awarded grants from HEC Pakistan and the Swiss Society of Neuroscience. He has published more than 250 scientific papers in high-impact and peer-reviewed journals. In addition, he serves as a reviewer and editor for major journals in neurology, neuroscience, psychiatry, and neurophysiology. Currently, he is serving as a neurologist at King Fahad Specialist.
