Serdar Gözler

Serdar Gözler has completed his undergraduate studies in Marmara University Faculty of Dentistry in 1978, followed by an assistantship in the Prosthesis Department of the Dicle University Faculty of Dentistry. Starting his doctoral work on non-resilient overdentures with Assoc. Prof. Hüsnü Yavuzyılmaz, he continued his studies with Prof. Dr. Gürbüz Öztürk of Istanbul University Faculty of Dentistry Department of Prosthesis, this time on Gnatology. He attended training programs on occlusion, neurology, neurophysiology, EMG, radiology and biostatistics. In 1982, he presented his PhD thesis “Gerber and Lauritzen Occlusion Analysis Techniques: Diagnosis Values,” under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Gürbüz Öztürk at Istanbul University School of Dentistry, Department of Prosthesis. As he was also working with Prof. Senih Çalıkkocaoğlu on The Physiology of Chewing at the same time, Gözler has written a chapter in Çalıkkocaoğlu's book “Complete Prostheses” entitled “The Place of Neuromuscular Mechanism in Prosthetic Dentistry.” The book was published five times since by the Istanbul University Publications. Completing his Military Duty in Gümüşsuyu Military Hospital (in Taksim, Istanbul), he decided to open his own clinic. Having presented in various conferences about articulators and occlusion analysis until 1998, Dr. Gözler has decided to use the T-Scan II occlusion analysis method. Having been personally trained by Dr. Robert Kerstein on this method, Dr. Gözler has been lecturing on the T-Scan Occlusion Analysis Method in conferences both in Turkey and abroad. Dr. Gözler has various articles and presentations on Digital Occlusion Analysis methods.
