Sawsan Malik
is an Assistant Professor at the Arab Open University, Kuwait branch, a position held since September 2021. With a dedicated focus on the College of Business Studies, she brings knowledge and expertise to the realm of entrepreneurship and innovation in Kuwait. As an Assistant Professor, she has been actively engaged in pioneering research endeavors. Dr. Malik honed into the dynamics of entrepreneurship and innovation within the Kuwaiti context. The primary objective of her research is to unravel the intricate factors that propel entrepreneurial activities in Kuwait, with a specific emphasis on the role of innovation in fostering economic growth and development. One of her key areas of interest revolves around transforming business plans into new business models, leveraging digitalization. Notably, she delves into the emerging field of smart city development, exploring how entrepreneurs can harness digitalization to develop and expand their businesses. Dr. Malik’s research extends to the intersection of eco-innovation, circular economy, gig economy, and e-business modules within the context of smart city management.
