Saurabh Anand
Saurabh Anand
is an emerging scholar in the field of tourism, with a focus on religious tourism and destination competitiveness. He holds a Master's degree in Tourism & Travel Management from IGNOU, New Delhi, and is currently pursuing his PhD in Tourism Management from the Central University of Himachal Pradesh. Before his master's, he completed a 3-year 'Advance Diploma in Travel & Tourism Management' from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. Saurabh is passionate about promoting lesser-known Buddhist pilgrimage sites. He undertook a cycling tour across India and Nepal to raise awareness about the Unsung Buddhist Pilgrimage Sites, by following the footsteps of the Buddha and the trail of XuanZang. His writing and research focus on cultural tourism, sustainability, and destination branding. Through his work, he aims to contribute to the development of tourism that is both economically beneficial and culturally enriching.
