Sara E. Spear

Dr. Sara E Spear , Yale University (sara.spear@yale.edu) Sara is Director of Academic Affairs and Director of the First-Year Scholars at Yale (FSY) Program at Yale University. In this role, Sara provides strategic leadership to Yale Summer Session, overseeing curricular and course development of 150+ summer courses, faculty recruitment and appointments, and student academic advising. Sara is also responsible for executing the vision and strategy of the FSY Program, a residential summer bridge program for 96 first-generation, low-income (FGLI) incoming first-year students at Yale. Prior to Yale, Sara worked at Rutgers University as Assistant Director at the Center for Organizational Leadership and Assistant Dean at the Office of Advising & Academic Services for the School of Arts and Sciences. Sara completed her B.A. in History at Mount Holyoke College followed by a Master's and Ph.D. in Higher Education at Rutgers University.
