Rupayan Roy
Rupayan Roy
is an Assistant Professor at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Kannur. He holds a Ph.D. in Textile Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, with extensive academic and research experience in smart textiles, wearable technology, sustainable manufacturing, and ergonomics. Dr. Roy has authored over 50 research articles and book chapters in reputed publications, and has actively participated in more than 10 national and international conferences. His current research interests include the application of AI, IoT, and automation in apparel production, textile waste management using HTL, and intelligent air filtration media. He is also engaged in curriculum development and is known for his interdisciplinary contributions bridging fashion, technology, and sustainability.
