Ruben Valadez , M.Ed., B.S., is pursuing a doctorate in Adult Education at the Dreeben School of Education, University of the Incarnate Word. With three decades of IT experience in both nonprofit and corporate environments, Ruben has utilized his expertise to improve educational outcomes. He has participated in diverse educational settings, including face-to-face, hybrid/hyflex, and online formats. His research addresses significant societal issues such as diabetes in South Texas and law enforcement misconduct, examining how educational strategies can mitigate these challenges. Ruben's dedication to advancing adult education is evident through his co-authorship of a chapter on integrating technology in the field, highlighting his commitment to deepening his understanding and impact in adult education. In addition to his educational pursuits, Ruben has extensive IT experience in the pharmaceutical industry, where he has played a crucial role in transforming manual business processes into automated workflow systems. His efforts have optimized various manufacturing processes, reduced time and costs, and enhanced operational efficiencies through intelligent automation. Ruben's expertise in workflow automation has enabled various entities to streamline project management, implement new procedures effectively, and leverage existing tools more cohesively.
