Rizwan Shaikh
Dr.
Rizwan Shaikh
is a distinguished academician, researcher, and software consultant with over 30 years of rich experience. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Applications from Pune University, India. His doctoral work focused on the evaluation and analysis of e-Governance systems. Dr. Rizwan currently serves as Professor (Computer Applications) in prestigious D Y Patil Group of Institutes, Pune. He was Director (R&D, Science and Technology) at Anam Green Revolution (AGR) IT Solutions LLP. As a Board of Studies (BoS) member and syllabus designer, he contributed to curriculum reforms at RTM University and SPPU. He has authored and co-authored over 25 research papers on e-Governance, CRM, semantic web, and cloud computing. He has received research grants from BCUD, University of Pune, and holds a patent on electronic assessment systems. He has presented research at international conferences organized by IIM Bangalore, CSIR-IPR, and London Business School. Dr. Rizwan is an active member of professional bodies including INETA, CSI, ISTE, and the National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN). He played a pioneering role in establishing EDP cells in collaboration with IIM Bangalore and IIT Mumbai. He has served as coordinator for MBA online exams across 153 institutions affiliated with SPPU since 2013. As an educator, he has taught Computer Science, Management, Physics, and Engineering subjects. His contributions span academic leadership, accreditation processes (NAAC, NBA), and institutional development. He is a passionate advocate for value-based education and digital transformation in governance. With his cross-disciplinary expertise, he mentors students, faculty, and professionals in research and innovation. His vision is to create impactful digital ecosystems through governance, education, and technology.
